TheSW’s 30-Day Challenge – Day 19

What is something about you that people would be surprised to learn?

———————————————————————————————————————

As far as I know, there are three common things other people are surprised to know about me:

  1. My age. I am always mistaken for a new grad. On my first day at work in a new company, some thought I was fresh from College until I told them that I’ve already been working for 7 years. Whenever I ask somebody to guess how old I am, nobody gets it right. I am 29 years old now and sometimes I don’t think that being mistaken as a new grad is still good to hear. Hehe
  2. Tattoos. And not just one. I have 3 to date. When I had my first tattoo, my friends never expected that I’d get one.
  3. Unapproachable. My friends admitted that when they first saw me, they thought that I am not an approachable person, that they cannot easily talk to me. This is always the case for those who are younger than me. They feel scared or intimidated when they are told to approach me or when they need to ask me something. I was told that this is because I always look like I’m always angry/mad at something. I don’t smile a lot. Being snob and unapproachable would most of the time be just a first impression because once they get to know me, they’d confess and realize that I wasn’t that bad after all.
